Congratulations to Maddy Tiddick and Kylie Strom, who attended the Region 1 Selection Camp in Rhode Island this summer, and were selected for the Region 1 OPD Pool for girls born in 1992. They were selected to the pool from over 600 ODP participants from the fifteen states that make up Region 1.. Virginia to Maine. They will now train with the Regional Pool over the Christmas break, and participate in a Regional Team outdoor event in March or April.

SUNY Cortland freshman forward Katie Trivisonno (Apalachin/Owego FA) has been chosen as the 2005 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches.
Trivisonno was also one of four Red Dragon players named to the SUNYAC all-league squad. Senior midfielder Kelsey Geary (Ogdensburg) was chosen to the first team, Trivisonno and sophomore defender Colleen Martin (Centereach/Ward Melville) were second-team selections and sophomore midfielder Ilona Szotyori (Saugerties) was honorable mention.
Trivisonno led Cortland this season with 11 goals and seven assists for 29 points. Her point total is the highest by a Red Dragon freshman since Kim Berglund's 33 points in 1986. Trivisonno recorded at least one point in each of her first seven collegiate games and 10 of her first 11 contests. Katie played youth soccer with BC United and BC United Fusion.
Candor's Rick Quest was the defensive MVP for Division II, and Tioga's Tim Ream was the offensive MVP. Quest was joined on the first team by teammates Sean Huizinga on defense, Pat Thompson at midfield and Matt Hawes at forward.
Tioga had midfielder Jeff Keaty on the second team.
